– Sergio Aguero gave an emotional farewell to the Manchester City workers on his final day at the first team training ground
– The Argentine striker who left after spending 10 years at the Etihad raffled off his newly acquired range Rover Evoque to the staff
– The luxurious car was won by a kit man and video shows the new Barcelona signing when he personally presented the ride to the winner
The Argentine who departed the club after 10 years gave away his brand new ride to the amazement and delight of the stadium worker.
Before he left, the striker handed brand new Tag Heuer and Hublot wristwatches to about 60 backroom staff before he raffled off his car.
The watches cost over £1,000 (about N412,000) each while the car is reportedly worth over £30,000 (about N17.5million).
He thanked them all for their work and also made a sizable donation directly into the club’s end of the season cash fund which is usually used to buy Christmas presents for support staff.
Now a video has emerged showing the moment Aguero delivered to the kit man who won the car and then said:
“Your car, puto.”
He did not quite the fairytale farewell on the pitch, as he came off the bench in City’s 1-0 Champions League final defeat to Chelsea.
But it’s clear how much he loves the club and departed with five Premier League titles, an FA Cup and six League Cups among his trophy haul.
Meanwhile, La Liga giants Barcelona have confirmed the sensational signing of Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero.
The Catalan giants made the announcement on Monday, May 31, only days after Aguero’s City lost the Champions League title to rivals Chelsea.
The statement on the club’s website revealed that they reached an agreement for the player to join them from July 1 when his contract with Manchester City officially expires.
Aguero will sign a contract with Barcelona until the end of the 2022/23 season and his buyout clause is set at 100 million euros.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Barcelona’s recruitment process in the transfer window this summer is top-notch having already completed the signing of a few quality players.
The Catalans have sealed a deal for stars like Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, and Emerson Royal, but they are not done fortifying their squad yet.
They are confident that Memphis Depay’s deal will be announced early next week and his presentation to the media comes right after he must have signed a three-year deal.
