Francis Uzoho has assured Nigerians that he will deliver his best for the Super Eagles if he should get the chance to be in the first squad against Cameroon in the second international friendly.
Having lost the first game against the Indomitable Lions last week, Gernot Rohr and his men will seek redemption in the second battle which will come up on Tuesday night, June 8.
In the first friendly tie which the Super Eagles lost 1-0, Francis Uzoho was on the bench as Gernot Rohr continued his trust in goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
While speaking with the Super Eagles media team in Austria according to the report on Complete Sports, Francis Uzoho stated clearly that he is ready to help his nation record a win over Cameroon.
“Well, if I get the opportunity of starting the game against Cameroon, I know I am prepared like I have always been doing with the team.
“The camp has been lively like always whenever the camp is filled with players such as Kelechi Iheanacho, Awaziem and myself. So it’s been fun all through.
“Nigerians should expect my best if am given the opportunity to mane the goalpost. Nothing but the best from me.”
After this international friendly game, Cameroon and Nigeria will turn their attention to the World Cup qualifiers with the aim of picking tickets for the championship.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Oghenekaro Etebo was spotted making fun of Super Eagles teammate Francis Uzoho while in camp for the double-header against Cameroon.
The three-time African African champions lost to the Indomitable Lions by 1-0 in Austria as the team are preparing for the second game against their West African neighbours.
But that aside, the players are currently gearing up for the reverse fixture as everyone seem to be relaxed for fixture on Tuesday, June 8.
Etebo and Uzoho were having fun at the hallway of their hotel rooms as the goalkeeper was making a pose like a model on the run way.
The six-foot-plus goalie showed ambience wearing a joggers with a round-necked top as well a hat and a sneakers to fit as he counted his steps through the hallway.
