However, despite all the individual accolades that he has garnered over the years, trophies just do not seem to fancy Harry Kane very much.

Here are several incidences where Kane narrowly missed out on what could have been a stellar campaign as far as silverware is concerned.

1. Carabao Cup final 2015

The Carabao cup final in 2015 was one which placed Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur, and was the Blues who came out on top thanks to goals from John Terry and Diego Costa.

To be fair, Kane was only 21 at the time although the defeat was just as painful as he would have clinched his first-ever piece of silverware.

3. Knocked out of FA Cup semi-final in 2017 after going 1-0 up

In 2017, Spurs were once again on a roll, this time in the FA Cup, and were tipped to win the competition after a superb run.

Despite going 1-0 up in the semis, the North London side once again capitulated against Manchester United to lose the game 2-1.

Mario Mandzukic then scored in extra time to eliminate England, who were again heavy favourites once the competition entered the semi final stage.
